Wingate is a neighborhood in unincorporated Snohomish County (Edmonds) in Washington State, USA.

Neighborhood Divisions

Wingate is comprised of 5 Divisions, the first of which to be developed was at the west entrance. Division 1 was begun in 1972 and consists of 28 lots with the smallest property being .42 acre and the largest being 1.18 acres. Division 1 includes 139th Pl. SW and 138th Pl. SW.

Division 2 continues on 54th Ave W and was constructed in 1974. This division includes 136th Pl. SW, 134th Pl. SW, and 133rd St SW. Properties in Division 2 range from .46 to .86 acre.

Division 3 includes 133rd St. SW, and 51st Ave W. as well as 52nd Pl. W, 51st Pl. W, and 136th St. SW cul-de-sacs. The properties in this division range from .57 to 1.10 acres. Construction of these homes ocurred from 1973 through 1977.

Division 4, the largest division with 72 homes, was built in 1977 and 1978. This division marked the opening of the east entrance and the connection to 51st Ave W and 136th Pl SW. Lots in this section range from .41 to 1.72 acres.

Division 5 includes 50th Ave W and the end of 48th Pl. SW. These homes were built from 1979 to 1985. Properties here range from .53 to 1.1 acre.

Covenants

Each division has its own set of protective covenants which are intended to protect the unique qualities of Wingate and preserve its livibility and beauty. These covenants are described in each property’s title report and can generally be summarized as follows:

Each lot is to be used for a single family residence. These properties may not be subdivided and houses may not be divided into accessory apartments. Changes to exterior house plans should be approved by immediate neighbors and must be approved by the Homeowners Association Board. Outbuildings and fences should be approved by immediate neighbors and must be approved by the Homeowners Association Board.
